Quite lauded by the creator William Thackeray, who went by Belfast in 1842 on his way to the Giant’s Causeway, which awed him not exactly the bar did. The elaborate, cut wood and tiled inside has earned it a few Best Small Building in Belfast grants, it stocks a fantastic choice of 50 lagers and fruit extracts and serves an extraordinary 16 ounces of Guinness, and its bar nourishment from lunchtime to 8pm is notably better than the standard. There are customary music sessions on Wednesdays at 9.30pm and Fridays at 5pm – for the last, arrive ahead of schedule before the surge of laborers leaving the workplace toward the end of the week and heading for a half quart and a tune.
