Founded in 1514, Pocklington School has a long history of providing excellent education to children of ages between 11 and 18 years. In learning and development put great emphasis on spiritual and physical wellbeing of students, the main aim being to develop in them the love of learning that will help them fulfill their potential. Learning takes place both in classrooms and outside them, so students can follow their passions and creativity, initiative and independence are encouraged.
The campus of 26 acres offers excellent conditions for organizing sports activities, music, theater etc. The main purpose of school is to help students and give them the freedom to develop in a balanced and self-confident. Situated in the town of Pocklington in East Yorkshire County, 12 miles from downtown York, Pocklington School is training about 680 students, usually from about 6 different countries represent the diversity is welcome.
Teaching is in English, so it requires a good knowledge of English, foreign students still benefit from additional lessons in English. Accommodation is in 4 houses, by gender and age group (girls between 8 and 13 years girls over 14, boys between 8 and 14 years old boys over 15 years), the facilities are excellent, laying emphasis on comfort. Study subjects are varied: from language and literature, foreign languages (French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Latin), Natural Sciences, Psychology in Economics, Business and Politics, Art, Photography, Drama, etc., students with possibility to select those you want (for optional materials), benefits and career counseling.
The students are involved in co-curricular activities such as community activities (providing relief school, social visits, producing a newspaper for the blind, discussion groups), including in teams fall-developed aimed at survival skills, navigation, etc. or different clubs (music, drama, etc.).
